Founded in 2011, Asociația Lumea e o Scenă manages Teatrul
în Culise, a 51-seat independent theatre in Bucharest. With
over 14 years of continuous activity and more than 2,000
performances, the organisation produces and presents
contemporary theatre (comedy, drama and psychological
thriller). It runs Fabrica de Actori (an acting school with two
locations in Bucharest) and organises national touring to cities
including Brașov, Constanța and Cluj-Napoca. The organisation
promotes access to quality theatre for diverse audiences and
actively supports emerging actors and directors.
