The Békés County Folk Art Association is the largest folk
art organization in Hungary, with a membership of over 400
members, dedicated to the preservation, transmission, and
contemporary interpretation of traditional folk crafts. At the
core of our activities is knowledge transfer: through courses,
trainings, workshops, publications, and audiovisual materials,
we contribute to keeping traditional craftsmanship alive.
We regard folk craftsmanship as an integral part of the
creative industries, placing strong emphasis on presenting
traditional techniques in contemporary, sustainable, and
market-oriented forms. Our association has participated and
continues to participate in several European Union and
international projects (Erasmus+, Visegrad Fund, EFOP), and
we have substantial experience in implementing partnership-
based collaborations.
