PALMO is a cultural project around embodied knowledge,
manual know how, analogue processes and material
experimentation.
We connect contemporary creative practices on art and design
with crafts, cultural heritage, and traditional knowledge.
Aims:
- to highlight the importance of embodied knowledge
- to preserve, pass on and update artisan knowledge and
practices.
- to contribute to the development and dynamization of
rural areas.
Activities:
- Community-based artistic practices in collaboration with
rural communities.
- Workshops, courses and other artistic/craft training and
education projects.
- Art/Design/Craft residencies with craftsmen.
- Art and school projects.
- Cross disciplinary projects (art + science + traditional
knowledge)
- Other cultural projects with social impact
